Melvaig has a cafe bar/restaurant. The area’s attractions include Inverewe Gardens, whale-watching trips, salmon, trout and sea fishing, golf course and pony trekking, swimming pool. The coastline around Melvaig and to the Rua Reidh Lighthouse ( approx. 4 miles) is rugged, a haven for nesting birds, seals, whales and otters. The Beinn Eighe Nature reserve and the Torridon mountains are just a short distance away. All amenities including hotels, restaurants, shops, garage and a dental surgery can be found in Gairloch. Fishing trips, and guided hill walks and climbing available by prior arrangement.
